Ophthalmologic Repercussions of Orbital Fractures

Orbital fractures refer to all continuity solutions involving the wall of orbit. They are responsible for serious complications, particularly ophthalmological. Objective: To identify epidemiological, anatomical and clinical aspects as well possible ocular complications orbital in Gbêkê region. Methods: Prospective study from July 1, 2020, October 31, i.e., a duration 4 months. It took place ophthalmology department University Hospital Bouaké. Patients with repercussions received during period were included. Results: Out 27 cases floor fracture received, 20 had prevalence 74.07%. The average age was 32 years extremes 18 48 years. male gender predominated 80%, i.e. sex ratio 4. Subconjunctival hemorrhage most frequent reason consultation (70%). etiology dominated by road traffic accidents (85%). time 24 hours. 80% patients distance visual acuity (DVA) between 3/10 10/10.) Diplopia observed 60% patients. Blow out (70%) prominent lesion. At paraclinical level, performed CT scan Evisceration predominant ophthalmologic surgical management (4 patients). bone reconstruction polydioxanone plate (PDS) 50% Conclusion: risk injury is because close relationship orbit eyeball.
